Strié, from the French word for "streak" or "stripe" is another negative glaze technique. The choice of tool, the viscosity of the glaze, and the amount of contrast between the base and glaze colors all are factors in the finished look. Troweled paint gives a surprisingly sophisticated, modern look, particularly when done with metallics. Either way, it will wake up a room with lots of visual texture. |
