LusterStone was introduced by Faux
Effects in 2000 and has grown steadily in popularity ever
since. Perhaps best described as a "metallic plaster,"
LusterStone can be applied in a number of ways for various
effects. There are at least 40 stock colors available to the
professional faux finisher, and a tint base which can be
used to create virtually any other color. While there are
imitations of this material now on the market, you can be
sure that Carolina Faux will only use the original
LusterStone for your project.
LusterStone is known for its "visual texture," meaning it
has the depth and shadings of other types of plaster, but is
silky smooth to the touch. While it is appropriate in just
about any room of the home, most frequently it is selected
for more formal areas such as dining rooms, and more
intimate spaces such as master baths and powder rooms.
Some of the variations which you will see on the pages to
follow can lend themselves well to other areas. |
